What is a Wiki?
Welcome to the Math 3 Wiki!!!
This wiki can be your home base for everything you need this year to help your students succeed in Math 3! Curriculum Guides, Resources, and Instructional Support are all available. Also, you can add your own to help everyone out!
You can find a SAMPLE pacing calendar, developed by the 20 teachers at the Summer Institute, under Instructional Support. Again, this is only a SAMPLE - feel free to adjust, but make sure you cover the standards! The broad units are:
FOR SPRING 2014, WE HAVE ADDED A UNIT 0 QUADRATICS UNIT. AT WEST MECK, WE HAVE DECIDED TO DISSOLVE THIS UNIT INTO THE OTHERS. IF SOME PLC'S DECIDE TO TEACH QUADRATICS IN THEIR OWN UNIT, YOU WILL NEED TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS BY CUTTING TIME OFF OTHER UNITS (PROBABLY UNITS 1 AND 2, WHERE MOST OF THE QUADRATIC OBJECTIVES ARE USED).
Radicals and Complex Numbers
Probability and Statistics
Logarithmic and Exponential Functions
5 days (can be adjusted throughout semester - see unit guide)
Course at a glance
This document gives a very brief description of the key concepts in each unit for Math 3. Please use the unit guides to help you through the actual teaching of the standards - these descriptions are a very brief overview! The unit guides go much more in depth, but this gives a general view and pacing.
This is the NEW Course at a Glance for Spring 2014 - it includes the gaps we must fill in from our students missing Math 2!
